Sultan Zakir is the founder of ilumeny GmbH, building AI-powered tools that help banks, insurers, and regulated institutions modernize legacy mainframe systems — COBOL, JCL, and DB2 — faster and with far less risk than traditional manual approaches. Everything runs on-premise or EU-hosted, GDPR/DORA-compliant by design.
This work draws directly on over 24 years of hands-on banking IT experience — including UniCredit, HVB, and Bank Austria — spanning enterprise architecture, legacy modernization, system integration, and architecture decision-making in highly regulated environments. Sultan also takes on select consulting engagements, bringing ilumeny's own tooling into the delivery for faster, lower-risk outcomes.
